Tuesday night basketball

Indiana (12-1) at Michigan (4-10) 7:00 ESPN
Indiana opened the season last week with a 3-point win at Iowa. The Hoosiers will be without guard Armon Bassett tonight against Michigan. Bassett played in only three minutes of IU's win over Iowa due to bone chips in his ankle. Freshman Eric Gordon leads the Hoosiers scoring 23.5 points per game. Gordon has scored over 20 points in 11 of his 12 games played this season. Michigan is 0-2 in conference play with losses last week to Wisconsin and at Purdue. The Wolverines have lost 4 straight, including three straight at home.
BTC Prediction: Indiana 80 Michigan 66

Purdue (10-4) at Michigan State (13-1) 9:00 BTN
Purdue won their Big Ten opener on Saturday against Michigan 65-58 at home. The Boilermaker's are led in scoring by freshman sixth-man Scott Martin. Purdue starts three freshman and two sophomores. Michigan State is off to their best start since the 1999 season, but Preseason Big Ten Player of the Year Drew Neitzel has been struggling. Neitzel scored just four points on 2 of 11 shooting in MSU's win over Minnesota on Saturday. The Spartans are led in scoring by sophomore Raymar Morgan who averages 18.4 points per game.
BTC Prediction: Michigan State 70 Purdue 58
