Where are they now? Evan Eschmeyer

Evan Eschmeyer played center for the Northwestern Wildcats from 1995 to 1999. Eschmeyer finished his great career at #2 on the list of Northwestern's all-time leading scorers with 1,805 career points. He is also the only Wildcat basketball player to earn three first-team All Big Ten honors (1997, '98, and '99). During his senior season of 1999, Eschmeyer led Northwestern to an NIT berth and also earned All-American recognition.

Eschmeyer was drafted by the New Jersey Nets in the 2nd Round of the 1999 NBA Draft. Evan played for three teams during his four-year NBA career, including the Nets, Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks. Eschmeyer announced his retirement from the NBA in 2004 after a long bout with persistent knee problems.
Evan Eschmeyer is currently back at school in Evanston. Following his NBA career, Eschmeyer founded an online recruiting service and showed some interest in politics for the Democratic Party in his home state of Ohio, before deciding to come back to Northwestern and enroll in law school.
