Where are they now? Taylor Stubblefield

Taylor Stubblefield played wide receiver for the Purdue Boilermakers from 2001 to 2004. In Stubblefield's senior year of 2004, Purdue finished with a record of 7-5 after losing to Arizona State 27-23 in the 2004 Sun Bowl. Stubblefield became the NCAA's All-Time leader in pass receptions during his senior year of 2004. He is still currently the all-time leader in career receptions with 316 and ranks 2nd in Big Ten history with 3,629 total receiving yards.

Despite his success in the college ranks, Stubblefield was not drafted in the 2005 NFL Draft and signed a free agent deal with the Carolina Panthers. He was released by the Panthers after playing in three preseason games. After his release, Stubblefield signed on with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League for the end of the 2005 CFL season. Stubblefield was signed by the St. Louis Rams in January of 2006. He played in all four preseason games for the Rams, but was one of the final cuts prior to the regular season.

After his release from the Rams, Stubblefield re-signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in March of 2007. Hamilton finished the season with a 2-15 record and in last place. Taylor spent most of the 2007 CFL season on the Tiger-Cats' inactive list.
