Injury Updates

  • Northwestern RB Tyrell Sutton is expected to start at tailback this Saturday at Purdue. Sutton was on the field for three plays in the Wildcat's win over Eastern Michigan last Friday. He was used as a decoy on a 21-yard reverse to WR Eric Peterman.
  • Michigan QB Chad Henne and RB Mike Hart are both "questionable" for Saturday's game against Minnesota. Both are listed as day-to-day and Coach Lloyd Carr said he wouldn't know the status of either player until later this week.
  • Iowa's struggling offense may get a few receivers back for this Saturday's home game with Michigan State. TE Tony Moeaki has missed the last four games with a dislocated elbow and broken wrist but has been practicing with the team. WR Trey Stross is questionable for the game with a hamstring injury. WR Colin Sandeman, who missed last weekend's game at Purdue, is expected to suit up for the Hawkeyes against MSU.
  • It was reported that Ohio State's RB "Beanie" Wells would need arthroscopic surgery on his left ankle after the season to remove scar tissue, but both Wells and Buckeye coach Jim Tressel dispelled those rumors. Wells has been playing with scar tissue since an injury he had his freshman year of high school and says he hasn't heard of any plans for any type of offseason surgery.
